5 Reasons Why You’re Not Losing Weight And What You Can Do About It

You’ve been doing everything. The healthy recipe the magazine asked you to follow, the new workout regimen you discovered, the new green smoothie your granny suggested, everything! But you still haven’t lost a pound and that’s bothering you? Here are a few reasons why you aren’t losing weight and how to fix it.

You’re not sleeping enough

We all need our beauty sleep and a good 8 hours of it at the very least! Due to our busy work schedules and such, we have been not getting enough rest. Research says that people who sleep for five hours or less put on more belly fat than those who get six to seven hours of sleep. The two hormones, Leptin, and ghrelin fluctuate when you’re sleep deprived. It causes the hunger and appetite levels to rise, therefore making it really hard for losing weight.

You are skipping meals

Do not skip meals. Just, don’t. Skipping meals might look like you’re consuming fewer calories but that is not the case at all. By skipping meals, you are slowing your metabolism down and boosting your hunger. Skipping meals also result in your body storing the calories instead of spending them, as it goes into starvation mode when you skip meals.

You aren’t exercising enough

Move it! Exercising is important, people. It improves your health and helps you fight diseases like heart attacks, blood cholesterol levels, and diabetes. It also helps you with developing healthy eating and sleeping patterns. Exercising also helps you release endorphins, which also keeps your spirits up. Therefore, try and aim for exercising for at least 30 mins a day to lose weight and keep in shape. If you’re not so keen on the gym, you can find other alternatives, like a sport, or swimming, or aerobics.

You’re eating all the wrong kinds of foods

It is no secret that eating habits do the most in your weight issues. Now, because of that, going on crash diets won’t help either. So pay attention to what you eat and the portions of it. You should increase a lot of protein and greens in your food and cut on the carbs and sugar. Avoid late night snacks and alcohol too.

You’re ignoring the tiny things

Food hacks may seem simple but they’re quite helpful when it comes to actually help you get your ducks in a row. They can be as simple as drinking a cup of black coffee before your workout session for the extra boost of energy. CBD can help you well with weight loss with virtually no side effects. Also, don’t go by laxatives. They do more harm than good.

Discipline is an important aspect of life. So don’t give up on a healthy lifestyle because it takes more effort.
