Some Interesting Facts About Yoga

Workouts come and leave, but nothing is so enduring as yoga. The striking feature of it is that it has been in existence for more than 5000 years. It does not burn those excess calories, and helps you to tone the muscles, and in some ways, it happens to be total mind and body workout. The stretching along with strengthening poses go on to help with deep mediation or relaxation. When you enrol in yoga classes, you will come across more than 100 types of yoga, and some of them are intense while others are mild.

The types

  • Hatha- this is the most basic form of yoga, as it goes on to combine a series of basic movements which is involved in the case of breathing
  • Bikram- is also referred to as hot yoga and it goes on to present a series of 26 challenging poses in a room where you are kept at a high temperature
  • Power- A series of high intensity practice yoga which goes on to build muscles

One thing that you need to figure out is that the intensity of the yoga does differ on the type of exercise you go on to choose. Say for example the method of hatha is slow, whereas the concept of power yoga is more challenging.

The areas which is the centre of focus

  • Core- this type of exercise goes on to target each and every muscle of your body. If you want to tighten your love handles then what you need to do is to prop up on one arm and do a side plank.
  • Legs- Yes, the poses go on to work on all sides of the legs and this includes your thighs along with hips

What other points one should be aware.

The cost of yoga centres in Mumbai tends to vary from one place to another. If you can figure out a way of reaching your yoga mat, then you can go on to practice in your home. Now with the advent of the internet, there is plenty of online stuff available which will also help you to practice from the comfort of your home.

It is good for beginners and people from all age groups can go on to practice yoga as the benefits of it are immense. There is no form of space needed and all one needs is a yoga mat. To conclude there are different types of yoga and it all depends upon the intensity levels. There are high levelsalong with low level exercises on offer. Even though you can do it at your home, or there is enough material available on the internet, it is still suggested that you enrol yourself in some form of yoga classes as an instructor can help you.
