Popular Cosmetic Procedures In 2020

With 2020 underway, this decade is sure to bring new cosmetic methods and trends for both non-surgical and surgical procedures. With many procedures, including lip lifts, tummy tucks and breast enlargement Essex to choose from, what are we likely to expect from the year in terms of hair, face and body alterations? Let’s take a closer look at popular cosmetic procedures in 2020, below.

Hair Trends

PRP, otherwise known as platelet-rich plasma, is a technique used to prevent hair loss. With hair loss being common amongst both men and women, due to male-pattern baldness and female-pattern baldness, this procedure is likely to increase in popularity. PRP is a good solution for the condition, as the platelets are a component of blood, so they work to stop bleeding and help to promote healing. PRP also contains a range of proteins and growth factors that help to repair tissue quickly. PRP can also be used to treat muscle, ligament and tendon injuries that can be a result of a sporting activity.

Face Trends

Platelet-rich plasma, PRP, is also used on the skin. The vampire facial, also known as the PRP facial, draws blood from the arm, separates the platelets and is then injected into the skin by using micro needling. The surgeon will run the needle pen over the face, whilst the platelets are squirted into the small injection holes. The micro needling stimulates the skin to help regenerate as the platelets are high in growth hormone. With no downtime, this facial is proving to be a popular cosmetic procedure in 2020.

A 3D facelift is also a trending and new cosmetic procedure, which involves tissue and fat being pulled from inside the lower part of the face and taken to the cheekbones. This adds volume, whilst maintaining a more natural look.

A modern ‘nose job’ procedure, known as a Rhino-sculpture uses ultrasonic energy from a probe to reshape the nasal bones, but without damaging the soft tissue or cartilage. This procedure is less traumatic than rhinoplasty and has a shorter recovery time.

Body Trends

Body contouring is likely to remain a trend in 2020, with more procedures being developed and refined for more natural results. Non-surgical body contouring provides a sophisticated body experience. Some of the body contouring options including EmSculpt. This helps to define the buttocks and abs and is combined with lymphatic drainage massages and skin tightening for the best results.

Liposuction is likely to continue to be a popular cosmetic procedure. This fat removal helps to smooth and contour the buttocks, thighs and stomach, as well as other areas. You can remove fat from below the skin by using suction, laser or ultrasound.

As you can see, there are many cosmetic procedures that will continue to and begin to be popular in 2020. If you want more information about a procedure that would be best for you, speak to a plastic surgeon. They will be able to arrange a consultation with you to discuss the results you would like to achieve from the surgery and explain how you the surgery will be performed to ensure that you get the results you want.
