The Perks And Advantages Of Rocket Yoga

Yoga has many styles and forms, and all of its types are beneficial to one’s health. However, each style has their strength and focus. Rocket yoga is gaining more popularity by the day, but how is it different from other styles? and what do we get from it? Are its poses easy to do especially for beginners?

Origins of Rocket Yoga

This style sounds rather modern for something that is based on an ancient spiritual discipline and practices. It is actually a fairly new concept created by Larry Schulz during the 1980’s in San Francisco. t is acclaimed as the original “power yoga”. It was dubbed as “rocket” because of it keeps you to constantly get moving.

Although it is a rather new form of yoga, it traces it roots to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. In fact, most of its poses are just improved version of the said style. The main difference is that the demanding forms are done in a simpler way which helps new yogis ease into the flow.

Benefits of Rocket Yoga

While this style can be quite challenging, it offers a lot of benefits o one’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. Here are some of the benefits one can get from this modified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga:

1. Calmer and Less-Distracted Mind. One of the core principles of yoga is to free the mind from the unnecessary distractions of this fast-pacing world. When you are less distracted by circumstances around you, it easier to retain information. So if your concentration is a bit faulty, consider signing up at a yoga centre.

2. Weight reduction and maintenance. Through regular practice, your internal system gets regulated. It also increases nutrient absorption as it gives a detoxification process. A higher metabolism rate can also be achieved along with enhanced digestion.

3. Lighter Mood. The meditation process lets your brain de-stress from all the tension in your subconscious.

4. Pain relief. Constant practice can reduce the chances of getting degenerative arthritis. Rocket yoga also makes you more flexible as it lubricates the joints. The constant movement also relieves the nerves.

Find the Right Yoga Centre

There are plenty of yoga centres in Australia to choose from. Look for the ones which have earned many good reviews from its clients, and those which has certified yoga instructors. Remember that Rocket Yoga is one of the most challenging forms of the discipline, so you need teachers who will help you ease into the pose and continue to motivate you to continue practicing.
There are several yoga centres in Melbourne which offer rocket yoga. However, this style is a rather challenging which is why you need to find one which has certified instructors and has been trusted by many.
