Top 5 Most Common Dental Procedures

Have you ever been woken up in the middle of the night due to severe toothache? Do you complain of problems in chewing your food effortlessly? Do you have misaligned or lost teeth? Even minor issues with the dental parts may lead to great discomfort and problems in properly eating the foods or other things consumed by the concerned persons. Bonding of the teeth

It is one amongst the most common dental procedures that your London dentist may be using quite frequently on large numbers of patients. Generally, this procedure or dental treatment is used to repair the decayed, discoloured, fractured or chipped teeth. Also it may be used in such people that have gaps amidst their teeth. It can be used on people of all age groups equally well in order to restore normal teeth functions. 

Dental braces

Suggested by the name, dental braces are primarily used to treat misaligned teeth. It helps in proper alignment of the teeth and hence is quite important from an aesthetic viewpoint. Apart from this, dental braces can also prove to be useful in management of bite-related problems.

Dental bridges and implants

Both the dental bridges and implants are chiefly used to replace missing teeth. The bridges are basically false teeth that are fixed in place of missing teeth by attaching the same to the other healthy teeth around but without affecting their functions in any ways. Implants are primarily the artificial roots and these are meant to offer support to the teeth being replaced. 

Tooth extraction 

Indicated by the name, this dental procedure is used to extract a severely damaged tooth. It is done so as to protect other healthy teeth around and also to get relieved of the pain and swelling caused due to the damaged tooth. In some cases, permanent teeth may also be removed by the dentists for some orthodontic treatments. 

Teeth whitening 

The basic purpose of this dental procedure is to remove any stubborn stains, plaque or other marks from the teeth and make them look shining naturally. The lustre of the teeth is retained and you may have a dazzling smile following this procedure. 

These are the commonly used dental procedures by the dentists in order to restore normal teeth functions in the people affected with different types of dental problems. These help in retaining the good health of the dental parts and at the same time improve their functionality.
